Nedbank taking incompetence to an art level. Why would anyone bank with them?

My mother transferred an amount of money from her FNB account into her Nedbank account. With Standard, FNB, Capitec, Discovery etc and any other competent bank you are able to access the funds at least within 48 hours, which I find incomprehensible as it is all electronic, however that be as it may. Nedbank told her that it would take a minimum of 5 days to reflect, which is simply asinine. Most banks have the facility of an instantaneous transfer where for a fee the amount can be transferred virtually instantaneously. The fact that Nedbank claim it takes 5 days to reflect is ludicrous. I wonder who gets the interest on the monies over the 5 days? Makes you think doesn't it? Furthermore my mother, who is 90 years old, went to Nedbank at Musgrave centre, and was told she had a 50 minute wait. She showed the lady there her ID and said words to the effect of " look, I'm 90 I really cannot sit and wait for 50 minutes. Surely you have a specific for teller in an instance like this" She was told basically, tough we don't now sit down and wait. As any sane person would do, she walked out.
