Nedbank swallows my money

Good day

On Saturday 15, May 2021, I went to the Nedbank ATM situated outside the Nedbank Branch Shop 1, Welworths Building, Cnr Carrington Street and, Hatchard St to deposit money. I was planning on doing 2 deposits. I was planning on depositing R4700 in total for my second deposit.

I did my first deposit at exactly 13:49 for R1920 into Makgarebe Burial Society, Acc no :*********1068 Ref : dineo.. ( This deposit is unrelated to the R4700 I was depositing afterwards). The 1st deposit was successful.

After the First deposit was successful, I proceeded to make my 2nd deposit for an amount of R4700. The ATM took the cash, and rejected R200. As the ATM was counting the cash, it switched off and rebooted. I called the Nedbank enquiries line immediately and reported the incident. I was given the ref no : 753862 via sms. After that, I deposited the remaining R200 I had as I had intially planned to deposit R4700. On Monday 17th May 2021, I received an SMS that my query was declined. When I enquired, I was told the consultant who initially recorded my complain did not include that I deposited R200 after the R4500 was swallowed. So a new query was logged. This R4500 the ATM swallowed was for a society stokvel.
