NEDBANK SUCKS
I have never been treated so bad!!!! I have a small Creditcard with Nedbank. This I only used a couple of times. I received messages saying I need to pay my instalments which usually was R20.00 or R30.00. This I paid monthly assuming it was admin fees. In December I forgot to make a payment (because I never use the card as a matter of fact, I don't even have a valid card anymore) but will have paid it end of this month again. This morning, I received a call from Nedbank telling me that I was in arrears. I told the lady that I want to close this account as I never use it and just keep on paying admin fees. She said I must first pay the total outstanding amount before I can close it. I previously asked that they send me my statements but never receive my statements as I want to see where the total debit comes from. I was furious and lost my temper as one keeps on pay and pay but never receive a statement to show for what you are paying. I earlier could still see on the app on my phone but since I never use the card and my card expired, I could not use the app anymore. She then told me I used it and bought something for R 50.00 in 2019. Since then, I paid more than R 2450.00 to Nedbank. And I still owe R1209.00. I told her that this doesn't make sense to me. I need a statement to see when the card was used and what fees was added. She said that If I had a problem why did I not go to a branch and asked them, to draw a statement for me. I told her I mostly shop online and don't have time to go to a mall. She then told me seeing that I shop online why did I not google their number and phoned them. I don't have time to hold on phones until someone answers. Then she told me it's because I just don't want to pay what I owe them that I use these excuses. If this was true, why wasn't my account in arrears for months? I always paid more than I should. I was so furious I drove to the branch where they told me that they cannot help me I must phone the Creditcard department. I told the lady that I'm not leaving until someone helps me. At least the lady was very friendly and tried to help me with a statement but on which I still could not see where the debit comes from. She phoned them they just told her I must pay the amount and call again tomorrow. Why did they tell me to go to the branch knowing they can't help me. I asked to have an email - THEY DON'T WORK WITH EMAIL. What record do you have then of your previous requests for statements and settlements. NO NEDBANK NO
