Debit orders

I recently opened an account with Nedbank at Broadacres branch, and subequently deposited money into the account. Two days later, there were two debits from the account, amounting to R22000 odd. When I inquired about the debits, no one could tell me what is it about. I subsequently found out that I apparently have an outstanding amount which was not paid 10 years ago, and the debit went toward settling the debt. I asked for documentation supporting these withdrawals, but to date (6 days) have not received anything! When I opened an account, nobody told me that there was a problem with my past dealings with Nedbank, nor was I advised that there were any unpaid balances outstanding. What is worse, while all of this is going on, another R12000 was debited from my account yesterday, again without any paper trail, call or notification that there is a problem. I have had numerous visits to the branch, and calls to Nedbank's legal department, but am STILL waiting for any kind of response from them, and justification of debits. As a result of all this, I have lost business and money, which was put into the account, to pay suppliers. This kind of treatment encourages clients and customers, to take their banks for a ride. I have made myself available to discuss any problems and arrangements, but there is NO response from Nedbank's side, or legitimate explanation for emptying my current account. If there is a problem, then let's address the same in a professional manner. In the meantime, I want my money back into my account, which was taken without ANY notification, or timely advice to do so whatsoever.
