Nedbank ******* the elderly

Nedbank are charging monthly service fees to an 81-year-old pensioner. When he went to close the account he was told that he cant do it between the 26th of the month and the 1st of the month due to internal Nedbank rules. On top of this, the delay will accrue a further R25.00 in service fees. R400 in accrued service fees is a lot of money to a pensioner and then to top it all, he has to pay in cash as they will not accept closure of the account with any other bank's card. Again this places further financial burden on a pensioner to have to draw cash. Really Nedbank, are you this hard up for money from the aged?
