Nedbank Rejected Refugee Application

I am so disappointed to see that Nedbank advertises about their services in supporting refugees and asylum holders.

It turns out that they aren’t really offering these services to support refugees , they are all about ripping the little money that they gain. They will tell you that you will have a financial freedom, but when I approached them and requested for them to assist in financing my car they reminded me that I was a refugee and that I should wait up until I have a permanent residency.

Yet I have a certification for permanent residency and an ID, and that very asylum which they authorise when opening an account with them or a business account.

How can we grow these businesses if we can’t afford to be given a simple finance authorisation over a car, how about a capital for the very businesses we wish to grow, how about our contribution to the creation of employment.

Where is the financial freedom which they wish to offer refugees and asylum holders if all that they want is to take from them and not to give them.

But as a bank they know very well there’s never Finances that are given without an interest, isn’t that interest our contribution to this broken economy?

Why so much hatred toward refugees and yet when African countries meet in their boardrooms they talk of unity and how to promote and support each other for a better Africa.

If we can’t invest in our own peoples, how are we to talk of a successful Africa?

We are forever separating ourselves and yet failing to acknowledge that we are the ones destroying Africa.
