Nedbank Refuses to Solve my complaint. I suspect they are up to funny business.

In February 2013 Nedbank wrote off the arrears of my vehicle and they informed me.

So in June of 2015 I requested via email the eNatis/ownership papers on the grounds that I didn’t owe arrears as Nedbank had written if off.

The matter was handed over to a Mr Frans Mokwena, a Nedbank employee in their Legal Dept to handle.
Despite telling Mr Mokoena and the people he supervises on many occasions via email and phone that the amount was written off, he kept insisting I provide proof that I had paid it off.

Surely he/they know the difference between “written off” and “paid off”?

Mr Mokwena/Nedbank then arbitrarily deregistered the car from name by way of a tactic he calls “Dealer Stocked/Dealer Stocking” in December 2015. Nedbank hasn’t bothered to explain what this “dealer stocking” means and how it came to be app**** to me.

As a result I have not been able to licence the car, hardly been able to use it, and as a person who needs a car to make money has caused me to lose valuable income over the last 5 months.

Surely Nedbank has infringed on my right to use my property as I see fit and also to earn an income over the last 5 months.

Mr Mokwena has also not rep**** to my mail I sent weeks ago where I posed the following 3 questions:
1. Why did Nedbank “dealer stock” the car knowing that the amount was written off?
2. Is the car still “dealer stocked”?
3. Why have you withheld the papers even though the amount has been written off and the debt has already prescribed?

After no response from Mr Mokwena, I then wrote to the Nedbank Complaints Dept and an Olivia Mike wrote back asking me to forward the email communication between myself and Nedbank/Mokwena for her to deal with my complaint.

She then came back to me with reply dealing only with the fact that the debt has prescribed. At the time I requested the papers the debt had not prescribed so this was never my complaint.

I then pointed out to Olivia that she did not deal with my complaint: which is how it was possible for Mr Mokwena to deregister my name using the “dealer stocking” tactic. I also told her that her reply was not satisfactory.
She then rep**** saying the matter was forwarded to the Nedbank Legal Dept.

When after a few days I asked her if she had any feedback, she responded by saying they stood by their original response. The one which did not deal with my complaint.

First Nedbank tried bullying tactics, then they tried to feign ignorance of my real complaint, now they are displaying complete corporate arrogance by refusing to deal with my complaint.

I’m now faced with the weirdest situation where I have a car in my possession which I can’t licence or drive but yet has been deregistered from my name since December 2015.

Surely Nedbank can’t just deregister a car from a customer’s name without following any legal process? I’m wondering how many other customers Nedbank has done this too.
