NEDBANK REFUSES TO CHANGE DEBIT ORDER DATE
I am extremely frustrated with my home loan credit provider NEDBANK. I have had this loan for over two years and have never skipped a payment. I recently moved jobs and my salary date will be changed to the very last day of the month. I then contacted all my credit providers to change my debit order to the first day of the month and unfortunately one bank has two separate practices the other which i fail to comprehend and am really frustrated. MFC Nedbank immediately processed my debit order date change and sent me an addendum to the loan agreement i will be paying on the first instead of the 25th . Then NEDBANK home loans on the other had have advised that if i am to move my debit order date from the 29th of June to pay on the 1st of July then it means that i have to pay my home loan twice because it will record me as am in arrears . So either i pay twice one on the 29 of June another on the 1st of July WHERE DO I GET THAT KING OF MONEY??? or they do an arrangement for me for three months of which i will not be able to afford all this for changing a date for two days. My question is am i being penalized for asking to move my date by two days so that the debit order will not bounce, why can i just be charged pro-rata interest those two days . Mind you if I agree to that credit arrangement they offered then that means my credit record will be affected , i did not say i do not have money to pay my bond i simply said my salary is changing dates can i pay on the 1st instead of 30th . Why am i being punished for a change in salary date and it only affects this debit order with two days only someone explain to me why their systems are so rigid to our detriment . I feel so helpless . Can i lodge a claim to the national credit regulator as this really seems to be an unfair practice to me.
