Nedbank refuse to take responsibility for security breach costing customer thousands.

Two (2) Nedbank MiGoals accounts were opened on my personal Nedbank profile of which I had no knowledge neither authorized it. I received an email on 2024/10/12 late afternoon stating that I opened a MiGoals account. On 2024/12/14 I again received an email stating that I opened a MiGoals Premium account, but though it was a transfer from my old Savvy account to the new MiGoals accounts, which just launched. On Monday, 2024/12/14, I was contacted by a Nedbank consultant, asking me if I recently did money transfers on my account, which I did not. He then informed me that of the 2 new accounts which were added to my current profile and that large amounts were transferred to the MiGoals Premium account to the value of R150,000.00. R100,000.00 from my credit card and R50,000.00 from my home loan. During this period my cellphone was blocked by CellC, allegedly on my request, which is untrue. The limits were also adjusted accordingly without my knowledge or approval. They allege that I adjusted the account limits through the Bank's "Private Wealth Internet Banking" which I did not know even existed. Purchases were made from this account namely, R142,888.00 reference (my daughter's name), laptop, R1,000.00 Vodacom airtime and R500.00 iMali (cash transfer). I was unaware of the opening of the accounts, transfer limits increased, the moneys transferred and the purchases from this MiGoals Premium account. Nedbank refuses to acknowledge that the security breach was on their side, as I was not notified of any of the transactions whatsoever. I did nothing on my side to compromise my logon credentials in any way. The security breach must have started from inside the bank, how else must they have known to use the name references of my children and blocking all security alerts from the Bank. As soon as I came aware of the *****ulent transactions I reported it to the Nedbank ***** department. I tried contacting the Bank's ***** investigator but could not reach her via emails and telephone calls - no answer. I demanded that all funds *****ulently withdrawn from my accounts on 14 October 2024 be refunded in full, with interest calculated by Nedbank and backdated to the date of the incident. Nedbank refuse to take responsibility the security breach on their side. Case reported to NFOSA, no positive outcome.
