Nedbank purposely participating in *****ulent activities?

I've been getting the following SMS's: "Nedbank You are about to enrol on Web. If it's not you, please cal ***1-Accept 9-Reject Cancel. Send" Of course I selected 9 (Reject) and Send. But, I keep on getting these! And, I am not even a Nedbank client! I started worrying that these may be ***** related and therefore I then send a email with a pic of the SMS's. I received a response that they will investigate and respond. That was 2 weeks back.

I however keep on receiving these. Yesterday I decided to try the number in the SMS - it stated Nedbank Kroonstad! Because I did not want to engage a direct number provided as it could be more easily a *****ulent setup and therefore canceled the call.

I then searched for the Nedbank *****line number online, got that and called it - AND GOT TO CUSTOMER SERVICES (so much for a direct *****line...). After some discussion with the person on the other end, I realised that these SMS's are actually from Nedbank with them fishing to try and get customers (I guess)! I requested to be removed from their communication. I also asked how they got my number seeing that I was never a customer of theirs, ever!? I did not get a satisfactory response...

Anyway, I am not impressed with Nedbank! I expect much more from a bank - especially one that what to brag that they are the best!

Be careful of Nedbank!!!
