Nedbank Purpose to Social impact

Good day

My name is Noluthando Desemela and my ID number is ***. I had a Nedbank personal loan in my early years around 2010 and it was handed over to Erasmus attorneys and they contacted me to make the necessary arrangements, later I lost my job and could not pay anymore and was reported to the credit bureaus and I communicated that to the attorneys. I recently decided to use Nedbank to receive my salary every month. My first salary was deposited and Nedbank deducted R7722.09 from my salary and when I followed up It was communicated that it was for the immemorial loan I had with Nedbank, the money was deducted by Nedbank without my acquaintance and I was not even permitted the opportunity to arrange payments options according to my budget and affordability. I believe that Nedbank purpose is to use financial expertise to do good for individuals, families, businesses and society. My concern is that the money was deducted out of my account and the money was committed to other obligations and by using Nedbank again was to gain their trust so that I could be financially free but now if Nedbank deducts the whole amount it means they promoting that I should go lend money elsewhere so that I can survive for the month and to stay committed to other obligations. All I’m pleading for is to have the money reversed back to my account and for Nedbank to contact me to make the necessary arrangements for monthly payments.

With this experience about the bank, it has made me interrogate the business core values which I believe they are fair and understandable to the community, but in my case I feel like the business did not show “Integrity” and “Respect” by being honest when I re-opened my account by notifying me that the loan amount will be deducted or offer me an opportunity to make payment arrangements, Nedbank did not practise the value of being “People-Centre” instead the value demonstrated in my situation is the bank being Self-Centred instead. I would like to also take “Accountability” of my actions and request that I be given a chance to make payment arrangements because as I have mentioned on top that the money was intended for another commitment and would also like to request that the bank creates a delightful experience for my situation and hopefully that they will exceed my expectations by being “Client Driven”.
