Nedbank OR Thambo Branch only accepts deposits after 5pm

Dear HP,

Nedbank advertises that the OR Thambo branch is opened from 6am to 10 PM on thier website. But, the branch only takes in deposits after 5pm... so in effect the entire branch is just a glorified ADT (Automated Deposit Machine).

Beside the inconvenience of having been told by the call centre agent that I cannot close my investment accounts over the telephone or banking app platforms, I was told i can only do this at a branch. I guess I should add that the online facility gladly allows you to open investments at the click of a button... So I think, okay I'll get to ORT and then do some banking but, I was told that I couldn't. The branch "only" accepts deposits after 5 and I was there like 10 after 5pm.

I was met by the security guard who told me that I cudnt do any banking, and then played negotiator between myself n the branch tellers for about 10 minutes only for him to tell me that if i want they can assist me using my app, which I know was not an option.

Nedbank just update the website to clear advertise that banking services are only available during normal banking hours... n besides thats just bad business to keep a branch open only to accepts deposits... I mean I'm sure alot of tourist are not depositing rands into your bank on arrival n departure.

I dont need a call back or anything, but just update your website so that future customers are clear about the terms and conditions of the OR Thambo branch...
