Nedbank NRB Risk Solutions ignoring me & refusing to issue my paid-up letter after full settlement
I am writing to express my utmost disappointment with Nedbank's NRB Risk Solutions (Pty) Ltd Trust Nedbank Re Legal and the way they are handling my case now that my account has been paid in full. I had a personal loan with Nedbank which went into arrears when I was not working. In February 2026, I reached out to them to commit to a payment arrangement that would settle the loan balance by end of March 2026. I was dealing with a Willie Mabunda, Manager: CENT who negotiated a settlement discount, which I agreed to. This included an agreement that an amount of R4 918,53 will be paid from my FNB bank account on 25 February 2026 and the second and final amount of R25 000 being paid from my FNB bank account on 25 March 2026. Both these amounts were confirmed by Willie Mabunda after I emailed each proof of payment after each successful transaction. I then requested a paid-up letter so that I can have this account removed or updated with the credit bureaus. On the 25th of March, Willie Mabunda emailed me back saying that I will receive the paid-up letter within 14 days. This never happened. It is now 12 May 2026. I have been following up and receiving promises from Willie Mabunda. In the last two weeks, he has been ignoring my emails, and I have no idea what is going on. Nedbank, please give me my paid-up letter now. It is affecting my credit profile and score as credit bureaus still have me listed as missing monthly debit orders set up by Nedbank when the account was settled almost two months ago. I have honoured my agreement with you but you are giving me the run around and I am tired of it. Do the right thing.
