Nedbank not taking my money.
It all started with me trying to transfer money from my Nedbank Credit Card to my FNB Business Account. After doing the transfer I realized that the money was not available in my FNB account. Long story short, my recipient on my Nedbank account had been changed without my knowledge. I contacted Nedbank straight away attempting to recover the funds. However, I was informed that I needed to pay R400 in order for them to investigate the situation. I had to pay money because their security was not up to scratch. I found out that the money ended up in an FNB account so decided to contact FNB instead. All Nedbank EVER did was request that I pay the credit card. FNB took two weeks and solved the mystery of what happened and assisted in getting my money back. Thank you FNB! I kept in contact with Nedbank to try and explain that I now needed a way to pay the credit card. With a ***** case reported to them my online accounts as well as my app was suspended. The cards still worked but I could not access any account online. I requested that they unblock the app in order for me to transfer funds from my cheque account to my credit card as I had the account number for the cheque account and this would be the easiest way to make a payment. By this time my credit card was a month in arrears and my credit record was looking bad. I was told that I had to go into a branch. I told them that this is not possible because I was Covid positive. I was told that that doesn't matter I can still come in!!!! When I said I refused they told me that my husband (who was in close contact with me) should go in. This was so ridiculous. I received numerous emails from visa collect and responded to each one asking for assistance as I WANT to pay this card. I also called. Eventually I decided (after quarantining and recovering from Covid) to enter a bank. It took more than an hour to assist me and try to unblock my app. Eventually I was told to go to a teller. Thesipo who assisted me at the teller told me that I shouldn't unblock the app but should instead pay the credit card directly from my FNB account and gave me the account number to set up a beneficiary. I was so thankful I wanted to cry. I thought after 3 months of begging to pay this account and my credit record being completely destroyed I can finally start paying this account and be done with Nedbank forever. Imagine my surprise when I tried loading the beneficiary and my FNB app kept saying invalid account details. I called Nedbank again. At this stage close to tears, however the person assisting here just said that she would email me the banking details. So do exactly what was done in the branch the day before. Instead of getting an email with banking details I received an sms stating that my card was in arrears and that I now needed to pay double the amount as what was stated on the visa card collection email that I received 4 days ago. I am at my wits end. I am a honest person who truly wants to pay her debt but that is just not happening with Nedbank. I beg and pray that someone at Nedbank sees this message and takes my money. I have NEVER in my life tried this hard to give any establishment my money. Please inform me why my money is not good enough to pay my debt? Is there something wrong with it or perhaps with me as a person? Because after begging for 3 months to pay my own account and for you to take my money this is feeling personal.
