NEDBANK NOT PAYING GREENBACKS ON DECEASED CARDHOLD

My husband passed away on 19th September 2015. He has been a Nedbank client for many years, firstly with the Permanent Bank, then Old Mutual Bank and now Nedbank. He had a Mastercard which was linked to earn Nedbank Greenbacks, which linkage fee the Bank made sure they deducted every month, (R14,91 and don't forget the R2,09 VAT). Now that my husband has passed away the Bank says he forfeits the Greenbacks which he accrued and for which he paid the monthly linkage fee. This kind of service from a large Bank like Nedbank is disgusting. If he had known he was going to die he would have redeemed his Greenbacks, but since no-one knows when they are going to die he did not have the opportunity to redeem the Greenbacks. Nedbank is very quick to make sure they take their linkage fee every month automatically, but when it comes time to pay up they just don't care at all about their customers. I think their ethics in this instance stink. This is terrible service from a big bank like Nedbank. When I paid the outstanding amount owing on his Mastercard (R20) at the teller the bank had the cheek to charge R17 \cash handling fee"Just another instance of **************** by the Bank. """
