NEDBANK NOT LOYAL TO THEIR EXISTING CLIENTS.

I called Nedbank this morning enquiring about their R200 monthly cashback to clients who have vehicle finance with them and are banking with Nedbank. The lady I spoke to, named Nosipho, said she was checking if I qualify and later confirmed that I qualify for the cashback. She then said she was not picking up my account number and that she needs to check and would call me back and even took my number.

6 hours later she had not called back and I decided to call again and was assisted by a lady named Nokwazi Mbele. She told me that I do not qualify and that didn't make sense to me because I was told that I qualify in the morning. She told me that it is because I am already banking with Nedbank and the cashback is for new clients. I asked her where it was written because nowhere in the website does it state that you must not be an existing client and she said this was a drive to obtain new clients...STILL... THIS IS NOWHERE IN THEIR WEBSITE.

It does not make sense that Nedbank can have this promo running for new clients and sideline their existing clients or have nothing on offer for them. I have been their loyal customer for quite some time and recently got vehicle finance from them but that is not recognised as I don't remember ever getting anything from them. I also find it unfair that even when I took the vehicle finance I was not told of this cashback offer and had to find out myself on the website. If I was told I would have closed off my Nedbank account and app**** for a new one because apparently the criteria is that you must not have an existing account.

Nokwazi continued to say I must not have a current account and I told her that I can change my account if that's what she wants me to do and she said no and kept emphasising that I am not a new client. The fact that I have to pay for Vehicle finance for 72 months without being eligible for this promo as a loyal client, while a person who has never ever banked with Nedbank gets to enjoy Nedbank benefits for the full 72 months is rather shocking.

All I can say at this point is... I am very disappointed with Nedbank.
