Nedbank not convenient replacing damaged R100 note
I drew R3 000 from a Nedbank ATM in Plettenberg Bay on 26 November 2015, prior to my wedding and honeymoon.

On checking the money, I noticed one of the 30 R100 notes delivered was ripped (approximately three quarters of it was delivered only). I was unable to get to a branch until returning from my honeymoon. I went to the Sandton City Nedbank branch on 28 December 2015, to exchange it for a whole note that will be accepted as legal tender.

Jasmine Peterson, Team Leader/Standing Branch Manager, indicated I needed to obtain an affidavit for her to give me a new note - because the ATM slip was not sufficiently clearly printed, although it did clearly have Nedbank's name printed on it.

It is unacceptable that Nedbank cannot take an equivalent written or verbal statement at the branch for its records, to correct an error that was caused by a Nedbank ATM and has already caused me the inconvenience of having to enter a bank branch to attempt to rectify it - both the torn note and the poorly printed slip.

I also did not receive an apology for the fact that a Nedbank ATM service had not delivered on its service requirement that it charged me for, namely provide legal tender.
