Nedbank not closing accounts at the client's request

Last year i received a message from the bank that I needed to upgrade my account at the time. I followed through with their request but months later I kept receiving messages about having an overdrawn account. They never provided any proof of closure to me by the way. I had to go to the bank personally to have this issue resolved. Around 3 weeks ago I wanted all of my accounts with them closed as I had decided to move to a new bank. All the money was tranferred to my new bank account and still no proof in the form of a slip or sms was provided to confirm my closing of the accounts. When I enquired about this I was told I don't need it as the accounts will close automatically once the remaining funds have been withdrawn. I continued to receive messages about my account being overdrawn. I contacted Nedbank on twitter on the 8th September to tell them about this issue and they asked for my details which I promptly provided. I was promised that the issue will be resolved but even now I am receiving messages about a low balance in my account. I am even getting calls from their consultants offering me policies for being a loyal customer. This is very frustrating.
