Nedbank - no empathy or support!

This being the tax season, when you open your prepopulated income numbers on SARS e-filing, it lists what amounts one received from where ever your investment/s are made. To my surprise there is an amount supposedly paid to me from Nedbank Limited. I have not had any Nedbank account or investment in the last 10 years. Approaching SARS I was informed to resolve the issue with Nedbank directly. The Nedbank call center could not help other than direct me to the local bank branch, which I duly visited more than a week ago. After presenting evidence to them, they were not able to assist and asked me to come back in a weeks' time, and which provided no resolution. Again, more time spent on my phone and at the branch talking to the call center, and being passed from one Nedbank division to another, without any progress. They did find an investment I had 12 years ago and which was closed with zero balance, and irrelevant to the 2024 tax year. I left with no resolution and a new number to call the investment division. This took another hour on the phone, being passed on between several divisions, and without progress. I was told to ask SARS where the entry came from. Imagine this - a suggestion from someone who has no inclination to assist, nor has any idea how to access banking support systems, and has no cognitive ability to logically troubleshoot complaints. My complaint in this case trying to find answers to where the taxable amount originates from, and why it was sent to SARS for my tax obligation. As a final attempt to resolve, I phoned the Western Cape Nedbank number, spoke to someone who answered, and while I was expanding on the issue the phone went dead, and that to me was the final straw, and encapsulated my experience with Nedbank. The resolution to this issue is quite plain for me, and suggest the following; 1. Appoint knowledgeable individuals for declaring interest to SARS. If divisions declare separately, tax information IT3b should correspond. 2. Identify the validation of information being loaded, eg Tax numbers against ID numbers. 3. Advise client whether this information is correct and if a payment was made by means of an ITB3b certificate - this is where the problem ends! 4. However, if the information has been captured incorrectly, an apology would be appreciated, and a SARS submission should be uploaded.

Non-committal service like that of Nedbank is making it very unhealthy for myself. The frustration of not being able to resolve this issue through lack of technical assistance or empathy is most disappointing.
