Nedbank money 'viewing' app

Originally i was very happy with their service and app layout, but recently i have received messages that i must upgrade to their other banking app.. (No idea why they created another app and not just continue on the original) So i downloaded the app just to find out that i can only use this app after i've gone in to the bank to activate, where my previous app had no issues whatsoever. What is the point of the banking app, if you cannot do banking on it?

We live in a difficult time where if we can avoid the bank, malls or busy places, we should do so.

No Nedbank tells me i can continue with the old app, but have to go in to the bank to activate else i will be cut off from mobile banking in the near future.. Talk about a bank caring about their clients.

If I wanted a Nedbank money 'viewing' app, i'd just look at my SMS's you spam me after each purchase.
