Nedbank legal department

I want to know how long can your account be with the lawyers....in this case...my husband lost his job and Nedbank handed this account to Maodi since 2015..... I paid until last month. ONLY then to realise it's been since 2012 the account was opened and in 2015 it was handed over to Maodi and how can a person pay one account almost 10 years?
