"NedBank" is sucking more Money from Customers indirectly/directly in different ways
Whoever who sees/acts on this Review, I request you to read this entire review and understand the Problem clearly.
Nedbank has been cheating me by charging "Cross Border Transaction" fees on my Transactions I do using "Gold Current Account Debitcard" and Credit Card.
CASE 1: I stay in "Cape Town", and I use "Taxify" the Taxi service for my Daily Commutation between "Home" and "Office", and I use NedBank Gold Credit Card for the payment. And For each Transaction, NedBank is charging some percentage as "Cross Border Transaction". For example for the Trip which costs "R26", the CrossBorder Transaction" charges are "R0.54". On an average I am losing more than 1Rand daily. If I use "Taxify" for long distance, the Cross Border Transaction charges will be more.
Regarding this, I have visited the NedBank, HowardCentre, Pinelands, Capetown branch and raised a complaint, but of no use.
I have also raised a complaint with Credit Card department over the phone, and after that some good number of mails being sent as part of discussion on this between myself & ********** and atlast when I raised a concern particular for "TAXIFY", they have rep**** the reason (next paragraph), which is "MEANINGLESS":
"Thank you for your email. Please note that even though the Merchant is operating in South Africa they are banking in Estonia ( Europe ) and therefore you will remain liable for conversion fees. It is suggested that you take this up with Taxify or alternatively make cash payments for your trips."
My question: How do a customer like me know what's the Origin of a Merchandise and whats the need for me to know that as I am still using my Credit Card inside "South Africa"
Have you ever let customer know about these things? Without advising customer on these constraints, why are issuing a Credit Card. There's a gap in your process.
FYI, I have been debited an amount of 300 ZAR while opening a Gold Cheque Debit account as Foreign National fees, and a monthly fee of 119 ZAR.... Why did you charge (monthly fees and Foreign National Fee) as anyway you are charging seperately for each transaction in the form of "CROSS BORDER TRANSACTIOM". I believe it's the process you follow to cheat customers by charging more additional money.
Even for my credit card I am paying 40+ZAR as monthly fee, why did u charge that when you charge for each and every transaction. This is absolutely unacceptable.
FYI, I have used my Credit Card @ KFC, McDonalds but, I was never charged for "CROSS BORDER TRANSACTION". Aren't they Banking Outside South Africa, it's an International Brand. So, I am finding the above Reason as SILLY and call it as a gimmick to SUCK MORE MONEY FROM CUSTOMER.
The above full Review is for only 1 CASE, There are 2 more other CASES (1 each for Credit Card and Current Account) against which I have been charged for "CROSS BORDER TRANSACTION" fees.
I request you to kindly take the customers problem with atmost seriousness in this case.
