Nedbank is *****ing from my account

On the 9th of February this year Nedbank deducted a "service fee" of R168.99, which is actually a card fee. I have a Savvy Plus account and am not supposed to be charged for a card (which I haven't even received by the way). The same think happened last year. I have been to the bank manager, and she got a reference number. Nothing happened. I phoned the card centre and they do not know their own products, saying first that the fee was for withdrawals, and then acknowledging that it was for a card. I then returned to the bank manager who advised that I use the banks in-house phone to lodge a complaint. I was then told that there is no record ot reference number ********** , and that only the bank manager can reverse the charge. So I return to the bank manager who tells me that no. that is not correct. What the hell is going on? I have wasted more than three hours of my time, spent airtime on useless phone calls, petrol etc. trying to sort out what should be an extremely easy thing to fix. Is Nedbank going to reimburse me for my time and costs? Of course not. They simply don't care. And one has to wonder how many other accounts they do this to, where people don't notice. I've been banking with Nedbank for 39 years, and why haven't I changed banks? Because they're all the ****** same.

In future, I won't waste my time dealing with the chain of command at Nedbank, I'll go onto Hello Peter first,. It seems to be the only effective option. Whilst I'm relieved that the problem was eventually sorted out, I'm still not happy that I had to use my time and money in doing so. Let's hope there is no repeat of this next year.
