Nedbank is chasing fees and refusing to close my accounts

I have tried closing my Nedbank credit card to no avail. I have been to a branch and contacted them at card division. As soon as they hear that you want to cancel the call is dropped.

On 2 occasions I actually got so far as to speak to someone and they confirmed closure of the account.

Today is a week later and the account is still active.

I am sure they do not want to close my account as they just want to charge me more fees

This is unacceptable behavior from one of the largest banks in SA, and just one of the reasons I am moving my accounts to Discovery bank.

Shame on you Nedbank
