Nedbank insure, Do not recommend.

We have been with Nedbank Insure for many years and our house bond is with them as well. We have had limited claims in the past that was dealt with speedily. This year Cape Town experienced multiple floods over the winter season and we with several other households had damage to our pools due to the sheer amount of rain. Unfortunately, this means we have to replace our pool, it can't be repaired as it cracked in several places. Despite 3 pool experts confirming that the damage is due to flood waters, Nedbank refuses to assist us with the claim. Their assessor was at my house for less than 5 minutes and then rambled on about ground water and older pools. Nedbank never informed us that they will not cover the pool due to its age and although the cause of the damage is due to flood waters, they refuse to pay the claim. I don't recommend Nedbank for your home insurance or bond. Try another company that will honor your legitimate claims.
