NEDBANK INSURANCE SUCKS

Nedbank Insurance worse insurance and no feedback or assistance from the call centre consultants.

Unfortunately I was affected by the Hail storm on the 30 December 2017, called and laid a claim on the 31 December 2017. In that week 3 contractors came out to see damage, ceiling, floors and cupboards. Didn't hear anything from them or the insurance or any feedback on the 05 after I called the call centre I was advised that an Assessor will come through. On the 08/01/2018 an Assessor comes through and he advises me that they busy assessing many claims in my area atleast 20 people had claims

On the 11 i call the Assessors office and im told to speak to the so called Manager of the assessing Agency and he advises that he needs to come out with the contractor later that day or the 12 .

On the 12 on my enquiry again said they will call me on the 15 as they can't get hold of the contractor. No calls nothing. I call Nedbank im.been toldhe assessor has made arrangements to see me on the 16/01. I call the assessor and ask him with whom he made the arrangements and he said he tried calling me but couldn't get through and then he tells me he has the incorrect number.

He comes on the 16 and indirectly hints that he told too call him and not bank. I explained to him I was not getting feedback and furthermore my kids are getting chest infections and my son has asthma and no ceilings and dust coming in is affecting them. The contractor comes and does a whole check and he furthermore tells me that he can see the Hail has made alot of damage and he does not have any issues with where the damage was. But there is another area where needs some work which does not affect the clain and i should sort out and that he will tell the bank to go ahead with claim. He will forward the report to the bank and to me the latest 17/01/2018.

Unfortunately I don't receive it. I called him again at 08h53 and he tells me I will get it within the hour. Unfortunately I didn't receive it.

At 12h15 I call the call centre held on for over 30 mins.

Finally put through to by the name of Ellen and she advises me that they can't give me a full settlement on damages and she rattles a whole lot of things that the assessor found that he did not mention anything to me and that only once that is apparently low maintenance been repaired and I must show Proof.

I got a builder out and he asvised that the tood is not sagging or falling as the assessor has said.

I asked the Consultant if she can send me report and quotes etc she says she can't as she doesn't have it but will send me the letter advising what we discussed but cannot tell me when exactly . After thought if she does not have report or pictures how could she have given me the information .

So in the interim do I let my children suffer with chest infections and asthma attacks.

I definitely will be advising others of the poor service from Nedbank Insurance.

Hopefully it's just not an automated response and someone really gets back to me.
