Nedbank insurance ***** and lie
Nedbank insurance deserve the full wrath of the ombudsman. Bond cancelled and paid up 16 Jan 2018. Premium for bondability policy paid 31 Dec 2017 in full (annual premium). Since 17 Jan , been waiting for my refund. On 7 Feb called call centre and queried where the refund was, and told I had to request it, which I did. I was given a figure I disputed, was told refund would be in my account by next day. On 19 Feb, a text message was sent stating 7 working days, but to date received nothing. Complained again to call centre, told supervisor had left early (3pm) & email would be sent to escalate the matter. Have now lodged complaint following formal complaints process, took 4 days to get an automated response with reference number. Heard nothing for 3 days, called complaints officer directly after call centre gave me her direct number. She asked for time to investigate. Looked into laying complaint with ombud. Ombud says 30 days, give them a chance to Nedbank insurance to repond! Fact is they have ****** my money (R3600+-), have NOT Treated The Customer fairly, fail to respond, fail to escalate queries and complaints and then try to convince you that they have escalated the matter by "escalating" to themselves. I want the correct refund due to me, with interest at the prevailing money market rate since 17 January. I will complain to the ombud, and at this point, also lay charges of ***** and theft against the directors of nedbank and nedbank insurance. So dishonest it makes me sick.
