NEDBANK INSURANCE

The service from Nedbank in terms of finance, assistance etc is great. The personal bankers as well. But be sure to get a proper insurance company when insuring your property. After staying in out house for two years, construction of a new road behind our house caused the floor to crack due to massive compactors working on the roads for weeks. I waited until they were done before I submitted the claim to Nedbank Insurance. After sending out different people and taking weeks to get back to us, they now tell us it is settlement!!!! Really?? I'm in construction myself and this house is now settling after 15 years?? Wow, and that after it is clear that it happened while the huge compactors work on a new road less than 1 meter from our boundary wall and less than 8 meters from our house for weeks? Note that even if you finance through Nedbank, you are allowed to use other insurance companies such as Santam etc who actually know what they talk about and actually pay out valid claims.
