Nedbank insurance destroyed the future of my child

I can't even give a zero these are ******. They took my daughters car on the 08/06/2023. This is after my daughter hit a pothole with her car the she took her car to Kia motors Mhlanga. At Kia motors the told her the radiator got damaged the she call the insurance "Nedbank insurance" the said the are going to take the car to their assessors. They gave her a quotation with paint work, lamps and radiator. The quote was R15000.00 I advise her to speak directly to the mechanic. The mechanic gave a total different report.

I then suggested that she asks for money and take the car back to Kia Motors. It was agreed, then upon her arrival at the mechanic the car was stripped open. She took pictures and called the insurance. Nedbank insurance called their service provider Keith Panel Beaters the car was put together and sent to Kia Motors Mhlanga. Kia Motors changed the radiator and discovered that there are more damages 💔 to the car.

Nedbank insurance asked Kia motors uMhlanga to open the engine of the car. The gave out a quotation of R135 000.00 wich was later changed to R36000 after the said to have sent assessors. Today the 24/08/2023 the called her to tell her that they are not paying for the damages on the car. 1. The car hit a pothole The radiator was leaking. The quotation R8000.00 2. Nedbank insurance took her car to wherever they know, to do whatever they know. It came back with the quotation of R36000.00. 3. Nedbank insurance refuses to pay for the damages caused by the pothole, of which I see it as an accident.

This is a young Lady of 25 years old having honours in Information Systems. She just got a job that requires her to have a car because of the night shifts, and the distance to work.

Because of Nedbank insurance she is now left between to choices to resign at work because for the sake of her safety, or to risk her life and continue working.

It is factors like these that contribute to the killing and raping of our young women in this country.
