Nedbank Insurance charges me for mortgage insurance on a property I don't own!

I had a mortgage insurance policy with Nedbank Insurance on my property , which I sold on 21st November 2016. Normally these insurances cancel when the property is sold and the mortgage is settled. I have sold properties before and never had an issue with other insurers as the policies automatically canceled when my mortgage was settled.

I contacted Nedbank Insurance client services in writing on 4th February 2019 requesting cancelation of the debit order and a refund on past premiums charged since 21st November 2016. I received no response and continued to be charged for a policy on a mortgage I no longer owe for a property I no longer own!

Frustrated, I called again on 22nd March and was told by Zama to resend my instructions to cancel and was assured I would get a full refund of all premiums since 21st Nov 2016 on Bondability policy number ********** 375. I was frustrated to find that I have still been charged premiums for April and May and then received a letter in the post dated 7th April RENEWING my policy when I had clearly asked for it to be CANCELLED as the mortgage bond over the property was settled when I sold the property in 2016.

I resent the written request to cancel, together with a complaint to Zama, client services and the Complaints Department on 9th May. I received a message that Carlo had been assigned to my complaint and it would be investigated and resolved within 21 days.

I have received no feedback from Zama, Carlo or anyone from Nedbank Insurance and I have just been charged for June! I will be calling my private banker at Absa tomorrow to request that this debit order not be allowed to go off my account in future as Nedbank Insurance is clearly *********** and does not care about proper service to clients. Clearly, they care more about ripping people off and I certainly won't recommend them to anyone. This is very unfortunate as my experience with the investment team at Nedbank has always been good so its unfortunate that their insurance department delivers such poor client service.
