Nedbank Insurance

Good Day,

Let me first highlight my disappointment in the way this claim was handled by Nedbank Insurance. 1. The break in my house was on 04 November 2023 and the claim and calls were registered the next day as I called but couldn't get through on the same date. 2. The service providers contacted me and were given the wrong address of another province 3. The accessor only came to do the inspections on 02 January 2024, she called while she was already in Klerksdorp and when i organized someone to go open the house for her she refused to wait saying she had other commitments. 4. The other assessor was sent on 17 January 2024 THIS IS TWO MONTHS after the break in my house. 5. The people who broke into my house cut the geyser, removed the basin and damaged the electricity. Now the assessor told me that my claim is being rejected because I was not staying in the house for a month or two. 6. There is furniture in the house the things that have been removed were due to the fear that the ****s might come and break in the house again.

With these facts placed I am surprised that someone will expect me to stay in the house that does not have water and electricity including basins in the bathrooms. The least the assessor could have done was to call me and get clarity on these issues.

My claim has been declined.
