Today I cancelled my comprehensive vehicle insurance with Nedbank.I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with an insurer and will never recommend them to anyone.The claims consultants are extremely frustrating to deal with — it feels like they’re doing you a massive favour by even speaking to you. The turnaround times are equally terrible. I waited nearly two weeks for an assessor to come and inspect my vehicle. In the end, I cancelled the claim and fixed the car myself.Everyone I told about my experience was shocked and immediately recommended better insurance providers. To be honest, they were right. After I fixed my car, Nedbank didn’t even bother to follow up on the status of the vehicle or check in with me. Not even an automated message. It just shows they don’t care about their customers — they only want your money.If you have endless patience and enjoy poor service, then go ahead. Otherwise, rather look for a cheaper and more reliable policy elsewhere. You’ll regret choosing Nedbank.
