Nedbank incompetence and poor accountability

Deplorable!!! I have a homeloan with Nedbank which is debited on a monthly basis. Not once over the past 9 years has this account ever been in arrears. I recently switched banks and have communicated my new banking details with nedbank to facilitate the monthly debit. Last month the debit did not go through, after enquiring as to the reason for this I was informed that the account I had provided was captured as a Capitec account while I had made it clear to the consultant when he made the change that it was a standard bank account. The same consultant advised me to open a Nedbank account to avoid paying the unnecessary interest I was currently being charged due to th e time it takes for funds to clear from another bank and I was contacted the same day by a Nedbank consultant to open this transactional account.

So currently my account is in arrears and is being charged extra interests all due to an *********** consultant who failed to capture my instruction correctly. So after wasting a Saturday morning at Nedbank to clear up this issue and being assured that the matter would be investigated and I would be given feedback on the same day, nothing has materialized.

It is now Monday evening and I have yet to receive any communication from Nedbank while the interest on my homeloan continues to accumulate.

I find it inexplicable that Nedbank was able to call me on numerous occasions to facilate me opening a transactional account, yet when their wrongdoing has placed me in arrears and has increased my debt to them that they are unwilling to expend any effort to contact me.

Could Nedbank please explain this. This is an unnecessary inconvenience and is causing me immeasurable frustration. How do expect to grow your business when you fail to provide a proper service to your current clients.
