Nedbank - impossible internal procedures
We have a Nedbank bond account registered in our company that were signed by previous directors. All I require from Nedbank is previous months bank statements in order to complete AFS so that we can pay tax and be compliant to SARS. Nedbank refuse to update the new directors of the company because the ex directors need to be present at a branch!

Have they not realised that ex-directors / employees will not be present to sign over signatories? Have they not heard of an organisation called CIPC where directors of a company are registered? They can still fulfil the security risk by checking that database. ALL OTHER BANKS DO THIS!

They insist on you going to a branch but they don't educate branch personal to think or have alternative measures. Their staff are not willing to do anything but follow procedure no matter how silly these procedures are. Have they not realised that ex directors will not appear in the branch?

A word of warning to all NEDBANK BUSINESS BANKING CLIENTS, rather go to FNB, ABSA or STANDARD BANK. You will be better off in the long run.

They also practise double standards, previously they gave me bank statements without being a signatory on the account!
