NEDBANK - ********** service
I had a personal loan with Nedbank which was settled or supposed to have been settled based on the settlement letter I was sent. The amount on the settlement letter was paid in to Nedbank and I was under the impression that it was sorted out. Only to find out that for the last 6 months, Nedbank has been listing me on ITC as a bad paying client and that I am in arrears for the past 6 months. On Friday 11/12/2019 I called the Retail Recoveries division of Nedbank to request the matter to be corrected immediately and my name be cleared. The consultant I spoke to (can't remember her name) was helpful and advised that the settlement was processed on the original amount owing and not the amount stated on the settlement letter. She further advised that she has submitted a request for the arrears to be written off and cleared from my name and profile and that it can take up to 30 days to clear the record due to it being December and people going on leave in the various departments. I was fine with that. On Wednesday 18/12/2019, I called in to follow up on the settlement letter I requested as confirmation that the loan was settled as per the settlement letter I was sent and the consultant advised that I can take up to 7 working daysd for the letter. Now, this morning, 19/12/2019 I received a notification from my bank that Nedbank has debited my account for the very same personal loan that was settled. This is absolutely unacceptable and to make matters worse, when I called this morning about the debit order that went off, I was put on hold for over 5 minutes while waiting for a manager to speak to, then the call was dropped while I was holding. I then called back and was transfered to the debt counselling division twice then I called a 4th time trying to get back to the Retail recoveries division and was advised that the manager - Faith is busy but has requested to call me back. If this is not all resolved by the close of business today, I am going to take this further to the Ombudsman! Nedbank has officially ****ed any chance of me opening an account with them ever again!
