Nedbank Homeowners insurance

Dear Sir / Madam

I am a Nedbank homeowners insurance client ID no.790 ********** 084. I recently submitted a claim for my geyser, the problem with my geyser started on Sunday of 2 June 2019 and the claim was submitted on Monday of the 3rd June 2019. The problem started with the main switch tripping when the geyser is on and that was what I reported to Nedbank claims department. On Monday someone came to my house to assess the problem and the report given to us was that there was a leak in the geyser and they will send plumbers to come and assist, the plumbers came on Tuesday and I was told that they replaced an element which according to them it was faulty and we paid R500.00 excess they left and they told us that the geyser is fixed and the water will warm up. We monitored that geyser for hours but there was nothing happening the geyser was not working I immediately contacted the people who came to fix the geyser and informed them about the problem, they told me that they will send an electrician. On Thursday someone who claimed to be an electrician came to my house to fix or check the problem but they did nothing.

My complain here is, I am not happy about the treatment received I feel I have been treated like a second class citizen, this was not going to happened if it was in up class suburb. I am not going to pay another excess for a problem that has never been resolved, instead we are going backwards so that the people can make more money from excess payment. Again the appointed technicians disconnected my geyser timer and also damaged the cover on the timer, this timer was working 100%.

I am requesting your assistance so that Nedbank can take my complain serious as am their valuable client this matter is now a week since we started and have lost trust in the people appointed to help. And again I have not reported two claims with Nedbank I paid excess for what I was told will resolve the problem and I am not going to pay a second excess.

Hoping to hear from you soon

Regards Elton **********
