Nedbank Homeowners insurance

I have never ever had dealings with nedbank before. I recently bought a house and my bond and homeowners insurance is with them. I logged a claim after the horrible storm we had in Cape Town and after waiting for feedback and countless calls I called them today to ask if there is any feedback on the matter.

They already received an outcome on the 21.07.2017 and rejected the claim.

The metal sheeting on my roof was litterally lifting from the wind and the inspector that wrote the report states the leaking is due to rust. That area of the house has never ever leaked before and after the storm there were leaks in various areas in one go.

Now Nedbank tells me that they will only do my ceiling and not the roof which makes no sense at all. Why would they now want to cover the ceiling if the roof is my responsibility.

In total I made 17 calls and received one call back after so many promises. I would never ever recommend nedbank to anyone and Nedbank was also out of their own service level agreement.

The saddest part is that the leaks are now close to my plug points and I have lost a 50 inch samsung because of the water that went into the TV.

The one call back was that They will send out another inspector which means this will be the 4th leave day I have to request which I am not willing to do.

SORT THIS MESS OUT

My Policy number is
