Nedbank Homeloans

Nedbank Home Loans is the worst place to get a home loan. If you ever need a home loan, DO NOT APPROACH them. Securing a new home loan should be straightforward, but their aftercare is ridiculous. I currently have a home loan and faced difficulties when I lost my job. Fortunately, their team was amazing in helping me restructure my home loan and understanding my situation. After three months of making manual payments, they assisted in restructuring my loan quickly. I want to thank Brandon for his help.

However, my main issue lies with the rest of the bank. I had to manually pay my home loan because, in the first month, someone mistakenly added two debit orders to my account without my consent. After making the manual payment, I was threatened for 13 days for not paying my home loan. Then, suddenly, someone finally did their job and sent a message thanking me for my payment, stating that all legal action had been suspended.

The following month, we went through the same ordeal again. I agreed with the bank to pay extra on my account for three months, and I signed a new debit order as part of that agreement. However, the new debit amount was never updated. I called the bank for three consecutive months asking for the correct debit order amount. Finally, on the last day of the third month, a representative updated the debit amount.

At the end of September 2024, the restructuring occurred, and I thought everything was fine. But no, not with Nedbank! I began receiving calls again, stating that I still owed Nedbank an additional amount after they initiated a new contract with a new debit order that was deducted on October 1, 2024. The latest call informed me that I owed them R240 in total and threatened to pay the outstanding amount to avoid legal fees.

What is wrong with Nedbank? Are their employees just lazy, or can't they do the work they are paid for?
