Nedbank (Home Loan): Unreliable & Dishonest

I would not like to recommend Nedbank to any persons due to their unreliability and dishonesty as a bank. I am currently in the process of selling my property and have the bond with Nedbank. I had comp**** with their notification period regarding intent to sell my property and was informed at the time that no early cancellation fee would be app****.

To my surprise, I received a letter from the bond cancellation attorney indicating that an early bond cancellation fee was due. It is clear that Nedbank does not keep to their own policy and procedures and therefore conclusively is not a reliable and honest bank. I called the contact centre to lodge a dispute but was made to hold for long periods of time. Eventually on my 3rd attempt, a consultant had to transfer the call to a home loan specialist who admitted that the error was on their part. Now I am not certain if the error would be rectified since they had initially sent false information to the bond cancellation attorney.

I therefore recommend that people do not bank with Nedbank, you may end up frustrated and later regret it.
