Nedbank Herm**** Refuses to Open Account for NGO

Our Zwelihle Neighbourhood Watch (fully accredited and registered with the Department of Community Safety) has been refused opening a Nedbank Club Account @ Nedbank Herm****. First they were told that each of the 3 EXCO members had to open personal accounts and then when I phoned the Nedbank Call Centre for help, they got the Manager to phone and he insisted that a Neighbourhood Watch is a Business and they must open a Business Account. Ironically, Nedbank in Cape Town opens these Club accounts for Neighbourhood Watches in Cape Town and that Nedbank boasts about its Corporate Social Responsibility (but presumably not in Herm****).
