Nedbank have no qualms about abusing and using customers.

I posted a complaint about Nedbanks deceit on the 21st November and received a nonsensical reply much later. The complaint was that they offered me a card at R30 per month and were charging me R60. Well they offer you the opportunity to pay your fees with your greenbacks, and, guess what, they give you back the R30 they promised to charge you in the first place, and not the full R60 they are charging you. So again they are able to **** and abuse their customers through lies and deceit. The statement is that they will refund your monthly card fees not the minimum they charge some people. I also bought some shoes where I did not have enough cash and put R500 on my credit card and paid R700 cash. On returning the shoes the company refunded the R1200 into the credit card. Nedbank reversed R1200 worth of greenbacks even though they had only given me R 500’s worth in the first place, again refusing to entertain their own statement that they may reverse the original greenbacks given.

I have posted a complaint on the Nedbank secure messaging site querying all of this which they have chosen to ignore.

After much time wasting phone calls backwards and forwards, between the so called resolution manager. Nedbank corrected three of the five incorrect fee refunds, and said that the next month the system would refund the full R60 as it was an error on their part, but this did not happen, and after the consultant requested that I change my review on Hellopeter in spite of this, I decided to close my credit card account, where they then pleaded with me not to and said that they would correct everything if I did not close it.
Too little too late and I decided to close my current and savings accounts as well, which again took 4 weeks of having to visit the branch because of so called system errors and people not knowing what they were doing. I have subsequently found a credit card for R45 per month which is slightly more than the R30 that Nedbank originally offered me a card at, but the rewards program is 100 time more rewarding than Nedbank’s, and I am just sorry I humoured these creatures for so long. They really are a sorry lot who feel no guilt in performing the way they do, and I am not going to continue to try to install some sort of a conscience in what is obviously inhuman.
