Nedbank has no compassion

As a supervisor of an employee who struggles to make ends meet after working shorter hours due to COVID-19 I am completely gobsmacked at Nedbank's lack of compassion. I completely get that money makes the world go round but I also remember that our President requested the Banks to see how they can help people during this difficult time. The employee works only 50% in July, gets paid R8 437.45 on 27 July. On 28 July Nedbank deducts the full amount for a home loan to the value of R6 075.69 and his credit card repayment of R1 124.50. Leaving him with R225 for the month. He phones the bank frantically and they indicate that they will refund the home loan amount after he explained that he is only earning 50%. They ask for a letter from the employer confirming this and he provides it. They string him along for a week saying that the refund is loaded on the system until a very rude consultant tells him that COVID is now over and the banks are collecting their monies again. We assist him with leave capitalisation. R7 000 is paid into his bank account on 12 August at 14:00 and by 13 August at 05:30 Nedbank deducts another R6 075.00. How is that helping anyone? Is Nedbank now planning on collecting three months of money in one month?
