Nedbank Greenback Linkage Fees – Get charged even if you never had a Greenbacks card before.

Watch out for these charges on your Nedbank bank account, the fee since Jan 2026 is a monthly fee of R 34.99. The Greenbacks program are Nedbank’s reward program.

Both my son and me have Nedbank accounts and we never had Greenbacks cards before, but Nedbank charge us for a “linkage fee” to a non-existing card. Neither my son or me, has asked for a greenbacks card to be issued to us and we have never received a greenbacks card.

The other day when I went to my local Nedbank branch to get the Greenbacks linkage fee stopped, they said I should phone the Greenbacks department directly, they can not help me, at the branch. Today I phoned the call center about the linkage fee, they advised me that I should go to the branch!! I talked to various people and the one lady said, after the branch issued the last card, the greenbacks charge was activated.
