I like to lodge a complain regarding Nedbank Funeral Cover Policy, I have a funeral cover with Nedbank where I covered my brother in law, his name is Sadena Patrick Gwexela ID number is ***. I join the policy over the phone.

My brother in Law passed away on the 23rd October 2024, I made a claim on the 28th October 2024. Today 29th I received a call from Nedbank Funeral Cover asking me that what is the relationship between the deceased and I, then I told them that he's my brother in law, they said to me it's unfortunately that the cover won't pay because I was not supposed to cover the in-laws and if I wanted to cover them I was also supposed to be on the cover as well and I will only get all my premiums from them not the money that I insured with which is R30000. I told them that I don't want my premiums I want the money that supposed to be paid for the policy because I have a funeral to prepare to pay for the coffin etc... I told them that I didn't open the policy by myself it was their sales person who open the policy for me meaning that is not my fault. They told me there's nothing they can do for me, I ask to talk to the Manager to explain but unfortunately they didn't allow me. The funeral is on coming Saturday 02 November 2024

I went to the Branch at Sasolburg for assistance they just gave me the Nedbank complaint number they told me they don't have telephones.

Can you please assist me with this complain.
