Nedbank **********ly retaining my life policy until i pay R4.4K external legal fees to cancel a Cession they demanded in 2011.
in 2011 when I took out my first new home mortgage bond for an amount less then R200K at the time, I was forced to cede over a life policy which I had in place for my mom/children even though I had a job. Over the last 5 years on and of fi have requested cancellation of this cession as I paid the homeloan off prior to the term. Nedbank continues to come back to me every other month saying that there is interest owed on the ACC (the latest is R5) and nothing can be done until that is resolved. They have also passed me on to an external lawyer who has quoted R4,4K to cancel the life policy cession. only then does the policy come back to me. So I'm being forced to either pay R4.4K or continue paying interest on my homeloan ACC which they won't close. I'm so disgusted with them and beyond angry.
