Nedbank ***** unsuppoted

My son in law was with Nedbank for 50 years, having few private accounts and business accounts. And a month ago he has experienced the most hideous ***** on his credit card, the amount of ***** was R135 000. The set up was very clever : he had a telephone call from a ""***** division of Nedbank"" flagging him, that he had 7 ***** transactions from a company from Durban on his credit card ,and , that he has to stop the card immediately….And the ""banker "" knew all info regarding my son in law : home address, bank branch, cell phone, credit card number , date of issue.... So, the caller called 7 times to ""stop"" ***** transactions , but in the mean time the caller was taking money from my son in law credit card… Going through all 7 calls , the caller was sending to my son in law phone special OTP codes via sms…. Only few hours later my son in law got a call from real Nedbank ***** division , being advised , that R135 000 was taking from his account in 7 transactions.... My son in law at once stopped the card and call his private banker to investigate the case.... And to make a story short : the management of Nedbank , despite my son in law different letters , explaining the case, telling them ,that he was a loyal client for 50 years,, and so on, got a letter from Nedbank, that they only return R67 000 back, but not the full amount. On top of which, they have said in the letter, if my son in law will go publicly to complaint against Nedbank, they will withdraw their mercy of R67 000 and put the full amount of R135 000 to responsibility of my son in law.

I just wonder how much money banks make on us, their clients - millions... Also banks have insurance against different *****s for millions... And they did not even apologize for internal ***** ( only people, who work in the bank could know all information related to my son in law)), but left blame on him and left him to be responsible for their own mistakes and negligence…. My son in law is closing all accounts , credit cards with Nedbank and he is very upset with the verdict.
