Nedbank - ***** department missleading with process
On Wedneday 18:04 PM, I got a sms alert of a unknown 856.68 Euro transaction for a Budgetair.es requesting my OPT authorization, or to report it as *****.
Obviously, I reported it as *****.
After 2 hours when I managed to get into contact with NedBank's emergency line, and there after I was transferred to their ***** department, and next morning was called by the ***** detection manager, and at the end by these 3 different people, I was confirmed the following:
- Any card blocked, will be replaced by courier within 7-10 working days even though I'm abroad. All calls are recorded, so listen to them please Nedbank.
I gave my approval to block and replace the card in question, on condition it would be replaced. That was the agreement.
The card was permanently blocked, and now this morning I'm informed that as it's a debit card, it cannot be replaced by courier like any other of their card.
So, I was told of a process, which I agreed to, and now Nedbank had made my life, yet again complicated and frustrating.
I'm now stuck using my other two Nedbank cards at a higher fee, and left with me further lack of faith in Nedbank.
Interesting enough, we contacted the competing banks, and in a case like this, they can internationally courier debit cards.
