Nedbank Forged Consent
Nedbank Forged Consent
Last nigh the Rand weakened to around R16.25 against the dollar.
I was expecting a call today to inform me of incoming funds from the US and would then be asked if I want to bring it in today or exercise my right to bring it in, in the next 30 days.
I also have the right to negotiate a reasonable rate.
This morning I got a SMS message informing me that the money was paid into my account as if I consented to that.
No call was made, and no opportunity given to deposit the money into my account.
All my rights were infringed upon!
I called Nedbank Global and it was explained to me that it’s too late and tough luck. A manager was supposed to call me but never came back.
Not only did you forge consent you gave me a very low rate that was way under market value. I lost around R10 000 on these very ********* and ******* actions taken by Nedbank.
This should be investigated because I’m sure last night Nedbank realized the impact of the Rand weakening and I’m almost 100% confident I’m not the only person they pulled this stunt with.
I call for an immediate investigation.
Please advise who can lodge my complaint with. I want to make sure I have exhausted all avenues with Nedbank before I lodge my complaint with the ombudsman and other authorities. I expect this behavior from small companies but not from a company like Nedbank.
