NEDBANK forcing iMali T&C's on clients whom do not want it
This weekend I logged onto NEDBANK’s Internet-banking website to do my online banking, only to encounter a pop-up extolling their latest service iMali, some App that allows you to send money to anyone with a cellphone (a service that I not only do not want, but which, to me, smacks of the opportunity for *****); you are then confronted with the iMali T&C’s (where you are gravely warned that you are held to any Risks & Responsibilities associated with this service) and then given the option to Accept or Decline the iMali T&C’s - I naturally Declined, only to be kicked off my online banking.
Upon my enquiry (an arduous process involving non-responsive call centers, Chat-fields and emails), I was basically told that unless I accepted the iMali T&C’s, I could not do my other online banking. Well, THEN WHY GIVE ME THE OPTION TO ACCEPT OR DECLINE???
So here we are : I’m willing to switch my accounts to any bank that does not force new products on me, with a one-sided arrogant accept-it-or-go-elsewhere attitude. Any recommendations?
