Nedbank Fixed Deposit
On 10th October 2024 I made 90 day (3 month ) fixed deposit with Nedbank. This matured on 10th January. Now on 11th January I checked my current account expecting that my fixed deposit with the interest earned be paid back to my current account.
To my dismay when logging into my profile on 11th January I was asked to give notice on my deposit and the only option was 32 days. Nedbank without consulting me decided that on maturity to automatically change my fix deposit to a 32 day notice deposit. No communication was ever received from Nedbank to inform me of this. They now claim that that I had 7 days before maturity to advise them on how funds had to be returned. There was no communication from them to this affect.
Now I am subject to wait and additional 32 days for the monies I had originally deposited for 90 days. I contacted Nedbank and while the young lady was helpful I am not satisfied with the response from the investment department. She have now logged a ticket with the investment department Case no ***8. The monies was set aside for a specific purpose and expected back on the day it matured. I am requesting Nedbank to kindly deposit my monies back to my current account as per the original 90 day instruction with all interest due to date
